Sex Wonks Podcast Episode 24: A Little Bitta Kray Kray

Are you feeling a little kray kray with the holidays? Well the Wonks are a little bonkers this week themselves. Not from overindulging on turkey or fighting the Black Friday crowds at Wal-Mart for deeply-discounted smartphones, but instead from this season’s American Horror Story. At the top of this episode, Ed and Rosa start things off with a not so brief discussion of sexual situations in the current season.

Single and lonely? Locked up? Poor or socially awkward? There’s hope! According to basic sexual right number eight drafted the International Institute for the Advanced Study of Human Sexuality, you have the right to a satisfying consensual socio-sexual life. Ed and Rosa examine this right and the various challenges those who may be viewed as socially marginalized may face with regard to sex and relationships.

And Rosa closes the episode with a worrisome confession.

Sex Wonks Podcast Episode 23: The International Language of Lust?

While Rosa’s dodging missiles (not the good kind), Ed’s learning a lesson in the international language of lust. Only here’s the rub (or more aptly, the spank): his fantasy didn’t pan out quite as he’d imagined. Rosa shares a humorous post from Texts from Last Night. Perhaps there’s an upside to Rabies? The Wonks discuss a curious symptom of the advanced stages of Lyssavirus.

Back into their discussion of the basic sexual rights as drafted by the International Institute for the Advanced Study of Human Sexuality, Ed and Rosa discuss right number seven—The right to be free of persecution, condemnation, discrimination, or societal intervention in private sexual behavior. Ed shares how a current circumstance with a neighbor is affecting his sexual comfort and performance. Homophobia takes on new heights in certain African countries – it looks like Uganda has a rather unusual Christmas gift in store for its gay citizens! Yet culturally, there’s an interesting paradox in this persecution when it comes to some rights of passage into manhood.

The Wonks wrap things up with a discussion of the Jewish Marital Contract.

Sex Wonks Podcast Episode 22: Blow Me Sandy!

First up, the Wonks send their love and support to those who may have lost property or loved ones as a result of Superstorm Sandy. Ed then shares his recent experience of attempting to tame a certain situation concerning a decidedly different shade of gray. While Ed has grown to love his current status of being a sexy daddy, he’s not so thrilled with the fact that the gray hairs on his scalp have begun to migrate south.

Sexual right six as adopted by The Institute for Advanced Study of Human Sexuality is up next. According to this liberty, one has the right to engage in sexual acts or activities of any kind whatsoever, providing they do not involve non-consensual acts, violence, constraint, coercion or fraud.

Rosa and Ed begin to break down this right by posing the question, “What if your sexual interests include acts of violence, constraint and coercion – as is the case with many kinks and fetishes?” Rosa wants to know what, exactly, is fraud in the sexual sense? Mentioning you have a ten-inch penis in a hookup ad? Posing as the opposite sex online? When does one cross the line from being just an asshole to being a fraud?

While it’s annoying to deal with flaky fucks when trying to hook up, it can’t compare to the horrors of the next subject the Wonks tackle—human trafficking. Ed and Rosa share their shock associated with several recent news stories about children being abducted for underground sex trade.

The Wonks wrap it up with new a reason to not trust Verizon Wireless and by asking the burning question, “Would you have sex with a Just-in Beaver love doll?”

Sex Wonks Podcast Episode 21: Can I Busta Nut?

The Wonks agree that we all have the right to seek out and engage in consensual sexual activity as one of the basic sexual rights as drafted by the Institute for Advance Study of Human Sexuality. At the top of this episode, Ed Wood shares his current frustrations with hooking up online. While we have the right to get us some, how do we go about getting us some? Who is the hunter and who is the hunted? Is it okay to have sex on the first date? Can a woman fuck like a man? If a woman fucks like a man, does that make her a slut? Rosa and Ed ask these questions as the initial part of their discussion of this right. The Wonks then consider why casual sex is generally considered to be of lesser value than sex within the constraints of a sexually exclusive relationship. Where’s the line when seeking out consensual sexual activity? Is there any kind of activity that crosses that line – even if it is consensual? The Wonks ponder what might be “too much” or “too far” and explore extreme kink edge-play, having public sex or maybe auto-erotic asphyxiation as falling into those categories. All that and more in this episode.
